Loggerhead Shrike (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)
Red-shouldered Hawk (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - young female (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)

You can see some of the "sap wells" in the tree that are drilled and maintained by this bird. Sapsuckers extract and feed on the sap from trees. Their work is appreciated by other birds and animals that like to eat sap or the insects that it attracts.
Swamp Sparrow (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)
Common Nighthawk (male) (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)

More of the bird's large gape (mouth) is visible than usual because it was a very hot day and it was panting to stay cooler.
Solitary Sandpiper (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)
Singing Bachman's Sparrow on Rusty Lyonia (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)
Eastern Phoebe (Kissimmee Prairie Preserve)
